Good food and great service.

Best smothered special burger steak and green chili cheese fries in town. Must try taco burger Tuesday as well.

I dropped in Armijo's on my way back to Albuquerque, wanting some good New Mexican food. The place didn't look like much from the outside, but once inside, it was clear this was a friendly place where locals enjoyed eating. The food was as good or better than any New Mexican food I've had in Albuquerque. If you want a stuffed sopapilla, enchilada w/ Christmas, you'll be happy here. Also, for something cheap and light, the tortilla burger is good. Oh, and the chips and salsa were really good.

A quiet family owned and run cafe. The service was very fast and friendly. The taco plate was very good. Rice and beans and 2 crispy tacos with brimming full ingredients. Comes with chips and salsa, and a Sopapilla with honey all for only $7.49. I enjoyed my experience. I hope you do too.

Used to be a VERY good Restaurant for a Family outing. The Owner now; Desert Diamond, is very rude, hateful and doesn't seem to appreciate the Customers. The food tastes like it's pre-cooked the Night before. The chile tastes like it's frozen chile from the Grocery Store. The Restaurant has NOT been a Restaurant since it was Armijos. I would NOT recommend this place!

So glad they got new owners. The people there are really nice and accommodating.

Everything here is made from scratch. They serve the best home made Mexican food in the state. The service is friendly and thoughtful, the servings are incredibly generous. Meals come with chips and handmade salsa, taco, rice beans, and sopapilla with honey as well as whichever entree you choose. The ambience is simple western, the restaurant and restrooms are clean. There are booths and tables. The menu, the food and service are 5 star, if the seating is updated I would give a 5 overall. The prices are low to moderate

Took a day trip to Socorro from Albuquerque because I was bored and I stopped at this place. I thought by was closed but I checked anyway and the food was amazing. Staff was friendly. It’s very rare you get to eat really good New Mexican food. Never been to Socorro but it was a nice trip

Taco burgers are great but the special burger steaks aren't what they used to be when the original owners had it. Chile has gone down hill.

I saw all the good reviews but we didn't have a very good experience. There were lots of flies and one of our drinks and a dish we ordered had dead flies in them. The food was ok but could maybe use a little more seasoning but that's just my opinion. Other than that the atmosphere was nice and the staff is very friendly

If you like Mexican food, the place is great.

A treasure hidden in the background, family owned and ran from what I could tell. As they say go where the locals go, this place had really great food. I am very picky and was surprised since I did not go for my norm of a taco or plain burrito. Stop in when you pass through I was not disappointed. The food is very fresh

Great new Mexican food it is not fancy just over the top good. Even the beans and rice were over the top. If you are passing through or on the interstate worth the stop.

This is American food, at best, claiming to be Mexican quisine. There was no flavor in the tacos we had, salsa was more like ketchup with a green pepper chunk, and the items are priced for a fine restaurant. BUT, the waitress was really professional and nice!

First things first, don't use Apple Maps to get you here, you will end up at a farm.Take exit 147 off of I-25... On the right ..if you go past the railroad tracks, you've gone to far.Nice people, good food... What else can you ask for?

Great carne adovada. Not always the best service. Be sure to get a sopapilla with that, honey’s on the table.

Definitely one of my favorite places in Socorro to eat! The service and food are both great. The Taco Burgers and Special Burger Steaks are my two favorite things to eat. My dad comes down from AZ and his first stop is Armijo's. I love it!

We love this place and eat here once a week. They know us by name and the food just keeps getting better.

The last time I ate there, food was horrible! That was about 8 years ago and I hadn't been back since. Currently under new ownership. Great improvement in the quality and flavor of the food. Very affordable for the portions we received. I will definitely be back!!👍👌

Cozy and good food at modest price

We ordered two things on the menu, that they stated they no longer serve. After choosing different menu options, we enjoyed the tamales most of all. The kid's burger was fresh and hot, and HUGE. The location is dark inside and the bathrooms were crusty and in need of TLC.
